Just a few lines about our ‘Sri Lanka’ tour, which we arranged through the Asian Pacific Tours and by Dr. Ajit Kumar. Guys, when your bags are packed, your passport is ready, and the whole family is on their way to the airport, the vacation anticipation is at an all-time high. Well, I learned a long time ago that trying to micromanage the perfect vacation is always a disaster. Always have faith and let the experts take over, be swept away with the winds, it will give you the peace of mind and the relaxation that you’ve always wanted. Dr. Ajit, had meticulously planned the entire trip, right down to suggestions of where the food would be good, where to shop, how to shop etc, etc. During our 5 day trip to Srilanka, we were happy that Dr. Ajit had arranged a Mitsubushi AC bus, with so much ample space, we had the ever smiling driver and a ever willing helper with us for all the 5 days. In addition to this, we had with us as our tour guide Mr.Roshan, a very educated person, who has finished his doctorate, and converses with ease on any subject. He is very knowledgeable and a wonderful guide, he not only knows about every nook and corner of Srilanka, but also gives you tips so that you do not embarrass others, for example, we did not know that while visiting a Buddha temple, we are not to show our backs to the idol, which is considered disrespectful, etc. He was with us 24X7 for all the 5 days. The choice of hotels was absolutely fabulous, the journey very comfortable and informative,even the children absolutely enjoyed the holiday.
As the saying goes – “In the end, kids won’t remember that fancy toy or game you bought them, they will remember the time you spent with them.”
Kudos to the Asia Pacific Tours and to Dr. Ajit, because we all know that ‘Google’ provides answers, but a travel agent takes the time to ask questions to find out what their clients really want. They don’t just sell travel, they sell stress-free vacations created with expert knowledge and keen attention to detail. An agent’s job isn’t to just get you on a plane, it’s to plan the perfect and personalized trip for their clients. “We were a group of 16 people from Bangalore and Chennai travelling to Central Europe. The tour was a success, which I owe to Asia Pacific Tours and to Dr. Ajit in particular, and the energetic Orsolya (our Hungarian tour guide) who was everywhere, any time and never let her energy down , which kept up the spirits of the entire lot.

Budapest, with the beautiful Danube River, the Buda Castle and the Hero’s square filled with history to absorb was quite magnificent. Prague was beautiful, with the highlight being the city square with the performers, the astronomical clock and the world-famous Charles Bridge.

At Salzburg, we were treated to the Castle (with a view of the Alps) and the gardens that featured in the Sound of Music,  the Mirabel Park with the beautiful roses, and the Mozart House, to name a few.

The final leg of the tour was Vienna, the highlight being Maria Theresa and her two palaces, the winter one and the Shounbronn Palace with its largesse at display, and the power of the lady who ruled Austria for a period of 40 years. We all take back pleasant memories of this trip.”
