 Day 01 :   Bangalore – Mysore – 150 Kms, 3 Hrs

Leave Banglore in the morning for Mysore enroute visit Channapatna Toys Centre to witness the traditional craft on wooden toys, then visit Srirangapatna a historic city was once upon a capital of warrior kings Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan . You can visit Historic Fort from where Tipu Sultan charged at  Britishers from his legendary sword. Then take the blessings at Ranganathaswamy Temple, a tribute to Lord Vishnu .Later visit Daria Daulat Bagh, Tippu’s Summer Palace., Gumbaz etc.

Later reach Mysore, 13 kms far  from Srirangapatna  and check in to the Hotel. Later proceed to the Mysore sightseeing covering St. Philomena’s Church, Chamundi Hill, a Crown Jewel of Mysore is the abode of Powerfull goddess – Chamundeswari. It is elevated 1000 metres above and a panoramic view of the city can be viewed. Half way up the hills is a huge monolith statue of Nandi, the bull and vehicle of Lord Shiva. Then visit World Famous Mysore  Maharaja’s Palace, It is the official residence of the Wodeyar’s  the erstwhile royal family of Mysore. Built in Indo-Saracenic style with domes, turrets, arches and colonnades, the Palace is a treasure house of exquisite carvings and works of art from all over the world. Intricately carved doors open on to luxuriously furnished rooms. The majestic Durbar Hall has an ornate ceiling and many sculpted pillars. The magnificent jewel studded golden throne of the Wodeyars is displayed here during the Dasara festival. Illuminated on Sundays and public holidays, the palace presents a spectacle of breathtaking beauty.



Visit Illuminated Brindavan Gardens and Krishnarajasagar Dam in the Evening.

One of the most visited places in Mysore by locals and by tourists is the famous Brindavan Gardens. Located about 19kms from the heart of Mysore these beautiful gardens are laid out below the Krishnaraja Sagar dam built across the river Cauvery. These gardens are famous for the illuminated dancing fountains that come to life after sunset. The Krishnaraja Sagar Dam (KRS) (known as Kannambadi to the locals) itself is a superb example of excellent engineering and itself is a tourist attraction in Mysore. Sir M. Vishveswariah, one of India's finest engineers, built it in 1924.
